The regional artist, Frank V. Dudley painted the Indiana Dunes and played a big part in saving them.

Jim Dabbert, Chicago art collector and writer (The Indiana Dunes Revealed) introduced me to the artist's work.

Room Demolition - bath

Demolition is dirty work - the dust fills the air with gosh-knows-what. I generally wear a breathing mask rated for asbestos protection.

I thought it would take 4 guys to get the tub out, but was told it could be busted apart with a sledgehammer.

So, I tried it:

Now I'm in over my head with plumbing!

....and tiling

.....and don't even know what else, yet.

Fortunately, my downstairs bath is done, but it is only a half.

Baldwin Grand Piano 6'3" Model L

Finally, I did it and got a grand piano. Big bass sound. Found it locally in Kansas City right when I was about to settle for something a whole lot less. In pianos, size matters - for sound and in quality - the bigger ones of all brands are just made better.

This one is from 1997 or 1998, by the serial number.

If you are looking for ANY kind of piano, you absolutely have to read Larry Fine's "The Piano Book" or you will pay too much and/or get less quality.

Crown Moulding Installation

There were some great tips (except the guy installed it upside-down!) and lotsa good links. I used plastic 'cuz it conformed to my old walls real well, and I used the "coping" method described by some.
